Long ass entry

Since I am up early, I am going to do a rambling post. (Yes, it is early. I got up at 7 am for no reason. Despite me trying to get back to sleep for a few more minutes, I'll probably finish this post before 11. At least, I hope I get this up before 11.

My two topics for this post is Doctor Who and my friend, Kaitlyn. They are very much related. It is because of one that I found a great friendship that has lead to many other great friendships.

I think I might have said this at one point or another, but I started watching Doctor Who at the tail end of David Tenant's tenure. (I was also treated to constant reruns of Martha's companionship from BBC. Not that I can complain, I liked Martha. Donna just BLEW MARTHA OUTTA WATER. Donna's character also endeared me to Catherine Tate. Also, it made me squee that an actress on DW had my name. Yeah, my name is Katherine. Yes, with a K not a C. Why is this important? It isn't. I'm just so used to saying Katherine with a K) So back on topic, I was at the tail end of the 10's run which meant I was constantly treated to angsty 10. So, I was half way interested/disinterested. During the weekdays, BBCAmerica replayed Martha and 10.

My first episode of them was The Shakespeare Code. Now, this may seems weird, but as a kid I had an obsession with Shakespeare courtesy of one to many episodes of Wishbone with Shakespeare stories. (Also, my crush on one Patrick Stewart made me look up everything on Shakespeare) Needless to say, this episode made me love Martha's run. Also, the whole speech about changing the world because of stepping on butterflies did me in.

"Tell you what, don't step on any butterflies. [Pause] What have butterflies ever done to you?" (Well, they are evil harbingers of death and evil! *Hides* What? I have Entomophobia! (Insectophbia) )

Since it was early January, I wouldn't get to watch my "first new episode" of Doctor Who til April. (Planet of the Dead) At the time, I didn't now where to watch stuff online aside from Youtube. SO, I took every chance to watch Doctor Who on TV. Even if it was a repeat. So, for the first three months, I was treated to Martha reruns with an occasional break with the Voyage of the Damned. (I remember thinking, 'Ho! It's a homage to Poseidon Adventure! Yes, I saw the Poseidon Adventure the 1972 version. I saw it at a young age and it left a lasting impression) I didn't like it. Voyage of the Damned. All I liked about it was Astrid and that rich Douche. (Also, Wilf! <3)

Then, one day to break up the monotony, BBC America showed The Runaway Bride. I fell immediately in love with the episode while also fearing it. (GIANT SPIDER ALIEN, OKAY? It's an alien but still a spider. Hell, I just did a mini freakout thinking about that thing) I kept thinking, it was a pity that Donna didn't stay as a companion because she was great. Also, it left me with more questions about Rose. (I already had plenty of questions about during Martha's run)

Not even a month later, they stopped showing Martha and started with Donna. My first episode was Partner's in Crime. I nearly screamed realizing who Ten's next companion. I have to say that it was fun and hilarious episode. Again, another episode that I loved at first watching. Also, the Adipose! They are adorable. I have an Adipose plush that I named Adi.....Yes, Adi the Adipose.

Also, these lines.
Baby Apipose: *cooes and waves at 10 & Donna while going onboard the mother ship&
Donna: *waves back* I'm waving at fat.

The Doctor: ...With Martha, like I said, it got... complicated. And that was all my fault. I just want a mate.
Donna: You just want to mate?!
The Doctor: I just want a mate!
Donna: You're not mating with me, sunshine!
The Doctor: A mate! I want a mate!
Donna: Well, just as well, cos I'm not having any of that nonsense! You're just a long streak of nothing! Alien Nothing!

Then, The Stole Earth and Journey's End. I cried. I cried so hard because Donna. Donna would forget everything. All the new things she learned and memories of the Doctor. Her best friend. I cried. Hell, I'm tearing up as I type! It hurt because Donna didn't want to forget. IT was so sad.

(Also, I still maintain that if the Doctor had given her a few minutes, Donna could've figured out how to stop burning her brain out. Now, I live with a head canon that Donna finds a way to stop the mind burning thing, finds the Doctor and slugs/slaps him. I like to think the 11/12. Then, says that he's babysitting for a day, leaves him behind while she and Clara go on a fun adventure. She and Clara make fun on the Doctor's love of bowties. When she and Clara get back, Donna deals with his anger by saying, 'It ain't so fun being left behind, isn't Space Boy?". Also, to make sure their are no hurt feelings, she brings him back a souvenir!)

Say the Water of Mars. It was decent. IT felt like a horror story than a DW episode. It was a meh episode to me. Then more reruns. Then, the End of Time. Wow, I cried because I had grow used to the 10th. Seeing him say goodbye, it was sad. I was more sad for him that he didn't want to leave. I wasn't so sad at him leaving. It was they thought of him leaving behind his friends. (All of them are living happier lives)

I will be sad when Matt Smith leaves because I count him as my first Doctor. I starting watching him as a happy ball of bouncing hair and bowties. I mean, I sorta do want the next Doctor to be announces since I'm getting tired of angst/doom and gloom Doctor. Oddly enough, I don't want to give up Clara. I'm terrified about the 50th Anniversary Special. I DON'T WANT THEM TO RETCON EIGHT. *CLUTCHES IMAGINARY 8 PLUSH* DON'T MAKE HIM DISAPPEAR! I LOVE MY PAUL MCGANN. *CUDDLES IMAGINARY 8TH PLUSHIE* I LIKE JON HURT, BUT DON'T SACRIFICE PAUL MCGANN. *CLUTCH IMAGINARY 8TH SOME MORE*

Okay, this entry became ridiculously long without meaning to. Oh well, I'll end it hear. I'll take about my friend Kaitlyn in the next entry. Yes, it will posted today.
